Mission Statement

School Improvement Plan Goals

Goal #1

Carson will increase family participation in school events and learning opportunities by 15% from the 2024–2025 baseline (average 286 participants), ensuring equitable participation for Multilingual Learners (MLL) and students with
disabilities.

  • Communicate in family’s home languages
  • Use raffle prizes to track attendance and increase motivation
  • Offer multiple participation formats to support our diverse community

Goal #2

At least 80% of students in grades 2–6 will demonstrate growth in self‑reported intellectual engagement, with data disaggregated for MLL and students with disabilities.

  • Administer student surveys at the beginning and end of year
  • Disaggregate results by student group
  • Provide ongoing professional development focused on integrating High Leverage Practices

Goal #3

Carson will fully implement a schoolwide MTSS model in ELA (K–3) and Math (4–6), reducing achievement gaps for MLL and students with disabilities by 10%.

  • Interventionalists provide daily 30‑minute push‑in support (ELA K–3; Math 4–6)
  • Conduct six‑week data review cycles
  • Use flexible, data‑based grouping

Goal #4

Carson will increase the percentage of students with no absence concerns from 74% to 77% with targeted supports for MLL and students with disabilities.

  • Implement tiered attendance interventions
  • Collect and analyze attendance data regularly
  • Integrate attendance supports within the MTSS framework
